Fyrgaarden is located close to the lighthouse, at the eastern tip of the Island of Anholt. Here you will find yourself surrounded by turquoise water and sand dunes.

Fyrgaarden was built in 1826, and not much has changed since then. Fridges and stoves run on gas, and water is pumped by hand from the well in the middle of the courtyard, and there’s also one pump in every apartment.

Rooms are filled with daylight, and when the sun goes down oil lamps are used for lighting, since there is no electricity. Toilets are located in the outhouse.

The house consists of three separate apartments, each equipped with a kitchen and multiple bedrooms. You can rent the whole house or just one of the apartments.

To get to the house, the easiest way is to drive along the beach and towards the lighthouse. We have a suitable car for driving on the beach which you can rent during your stay.

Staying at Fyrgaarden is very peaceful and quiet. The house is surrounded by nature and no neighbours ahead. It’s the perfect get away from an otherwise connected everyday life.
